I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from York University, with a strong passion for manufacturing and assembly systems.

Over the past four years, I’ve developed a solid foundation in mechanical design, process optimization, and production efficiency, where my co-op and internships allowed me to gain hands-on experience in high-tech manufacturing environments, as I contributed to tooling design, continuous improvement initiatives, and automation projects.
I’m especially interested in working in fast-paced industrial settings where I can apply lean manufacturing principles and engineering problem-solving to enhance production workflows and deliver measurable results.

Manufacturing Process Engineering Intern

• Support the Pin Through-hole Technology department by developing guidelines for component preparation, maintaining and generating selective soldering programs, and carrying out engineering rework tasks.
• Involved in the development/validation of 3D models and drawings of new tools/fixtures; utilized both additive and subtractive manufacturing procedures/processes and GD&T manufacturing techniques.
• Develop and update manufacturing work instructions in order to improve standard work and quality of finished goods, while reducing defects in accordance with customer specs.
• Execute preventive maintenance procedures on solder fume extractors, label printers, and torque screwdrivers, while diligently communicating equipment anomalies and inventory deficiencies to sustain their ongoing operational efficacy and durability

Conducted research on reducing slips and falls on ice under the supervision of Professor Reza Rizvi. Research results in the creation of an Automatic Salt dispenser prototype.
Worked collaboratively with k2i academy Program Mentors, Faculty and Staff to develop and deliver virtual and hands-on STEM activities and lessons to supplement the Research Poster.
Mentored 8 high students to support the research by studying the effects of increasing the coefficient of friction on different materials’ surfaces.

Provided online math homework help for newcomers students, grades 7 & 9, using online resources such as IXL to provide extra examples and problem-solving techniques.
Managed 5-8 students at each online session and engaged students and made entertaining lessons to hold interest and encourage online learning.

Delivered e-learning courses in math, science, Arabic and English literacy for refugee children by using Thaki.org interactive educational resources.
Created a summer volunteering program based on the e-learning courses, and succeeded to recruit, and training 15 volunteers on e-learning materials and techniques.

Arabic Literacy Program Facilitator
Managed and educate groups of 20 Syrian refugee children aged 9-14 who have not been in school before, following the Lebanese curriculum in Arabic, math, and science.
Provided additional sessions in peacebuilding, exploring identity, and life skills.
Prepared students to smoothly transition into Lebanese formal schooling and catch up on gaps in education that many students have experienced.

Academic Peer Support Assistant

• Tutored 50 first-year engineering students enrolled in Renaissance Engineer 1 (ENG 1101).
• Collaborated with new and continuing students to create an individualized study plan and track progress.
• Delivered weekly presentations on a variety of topics including enrollment, study resources and academic support.
Students Refugee Program Coordinator
World University Service of Canada (WUSC) at York University
• Assisted sponsored refugee students with academic, accommodation, and well-being matters during the first year of
their arrival to Canada.
• Planned and established tabling and fundraising events, managed to make one tabling event per week at York
University, fundraising an average of 80 $ per week to help cover sponsored students’ expenses.
Community
Move Forward Hiking & Camping Team
As one of the 6 founding members of the Move Forward Hiking Team, I helped establish a non-profit community dedicated to connecting people through nature-based experiences such as hiking, camping, and outdoor exploration. Our team organizes regular recreational events across national parks, forests, and natural reserves to encourage well-being, resilience, and social connection through outdoor activities.
My role included co-leading trip planning, contributing to communication and community outreach coordination, and preparing and facilitating recreational, team-building, and discussion session activities during the trips. — to empower individuals to overcome challenges through nature and build a supportive, inclusive community.
The Move Forward Community has since expanded and now is welcoming over +100 hikers and is planning for 2 long trips in the Summer of 2025.
